Can't get an account on the free Joomla subdomain?

Hi,

I'm wanting to check out joomla, but I don't have enough hard drive space on my laptop and I'm doing other dev work that might mess things up, so I was trying to get an account on the free online account. Everytime I try, I get the message not a domain name as an error. No matter what I put in the input box? Is this feature not working or ?
I just want to play with the framework to see if it's what I want to use to develop my clients sites with..
Any help would be greatly appreciated..
I tried http://www.somedomainname.com
somedomainname
just my name, etc, ,etc.. to no avail.

Does the domain name you typed in already exist and do you own it? Otherwise you need to use a free subdomain, for example your-subdomain.joomla.com.

I realize it's a sub domain. I registered and it just keeps taking me back to the registration page and I then scroll down to where it says 'DO YOU ALREADY HAVE AN ACCOUNT. Sign in." I do that and it says the password or email is wrong, but I saved it in the browser so it can't be wrong? I've done this twice with two different sub domains and no luck.. ?? Very frustrating as I really want to try it out and see if I can use it. I have clients waiting on me to do some work for them..

The free website service https://launch.joomla.org or https://joomla.com is provided by an independent hosting provider, CloudAccess.net. Please report any issues directly to them by using the Cloud Control Panel, the details of which you received in the registration email, or use the Contact Us form.
