FPA: Not Found - The requested URL was not found on this server.

Hi
I am trying to run the FPA script. I get the following error despte temporarily renaming .htaccess:

Not Found

The requested URL was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Please assist.

Is the file fpa-en.php in the main Joomla folder? The main Joomla folder starts with subfolders administrator, bin, cache, cli and components?

Yes, in the right folder, but still no success...

If the file is in the correct location - did you upload it on "auto" mode in your FTP (or did you use the cPanel file manager for instance, to upload)?. I don't know if binary/ascii mode for the upload would make a difference.

On Linux, make sure you match the 'case' of the file name. "FPA-en.php" is not the same as "fpa-en.php"
(just one idea, as this would also throw up a 404).

again, make sure the case is correct - if the file uploaded was all lower-case, make sure you're not capitalising it when you type in the URL in the browser etc.

I can't think of anything else that would cause the 404 error apart from the above, or browsing to the wrong location, or the file simply not existing.

It might be something else, like your server security software taking exception to it. Maybe check with your host, see if they can run it (as they might be able to override any security blocks if that was applicable), or at least have a test server they can try it on).
