User creation possibility by a registered user via frontend (Joomla 4)

Post by jkftv » Sat Mar 25, 2023 6:24 pm

May I let be able a specific, already registered User Group to create other new users from the frontend? Does it exist some kind of extension to do something like that?

Try this:

Creating a new user group is the father of the "Registered" group
In the "Group Permissions" section, find the "User" section and set "Create" to "Allowed".

Now, any user in the new group will be able to create new users from the front-end.

Hi, could you please define what does it means <<a new user group is the father of the "Registered" group>>? The father?
I'm used to set a new user group under Registered, as a "child" group... could you please explain?

Usually, permissions in Joomla use the terms "parent' and "child" (and "grandchild" depending on the levels and how far they drill-down), so I expect that's what Hungkhanggle meant.

Except you should probably make the user group under Administrator not "Registered". It's not normal for a "Registered" user to have any administrative control on a Joomla site.
