Why am I getting a "skip to main content" box on every page of my website? doesn't show in admin. How do I get rid of it please?

I am thinking you are using yootheme... I had the same thing before. Go in to yootheme and clear the cache, that did it for me but others were saying they had to recompile the theme and then that went away.

I keep getting this message when trying to view the web extension list in systems/install.... I've been trying for a few days now & still the same message.

The message must be displayed by a third party plugin if both the front end and the back end display it.

If you need help in identifying the culprit, probably a content plugin, please post the results from the Forum Post Assistant (FPA) by following the instructions at https://forumpostassistant.github.io/docs/.
