Error Logs

Post by Johnny B Good16 » Sat Oct 05, 2024 7:50 am

Upon logging in and clicking the edit button, I get an error 500 message, then going to error logs I find all errors are deprecated, this seems to mean the code is not useful anymore, the club , Wagin camera Club is hosted by siteground.

Does this mean the Joomla portion is out of date ? and needs an upgrade, or is there another solution ? Would appreciate some help here.

Regards
John

Generally speaking a 500 error relates to php, what php version are you using?

You should to be aware of Joomla 4's system requirements, e.g. it recommends PHP 8.2 with a minimum 7.2.5. Requirements for Extensions may be in line with Joomla's requirements or may be relaxed or more strict.

https://manual.joomla.org/docs/4.4/get- ... quirements

Siteground is pretty good with keeping PHP up to date and shouldn't let you use a version of PHP much less than 7.4 these days (given that's obsolete anyway).

As well as the FPA, please turn on your Error Reporting and Debug (in your web hosting and/or in the joomla configuration.php file) and post any PHP errors or debug stack trace to this thread.
