Featured articles 3-column layout on home page Topic is solved

I have recently upgraded from Joomla 3.9 to 4.3. On the front oage of my site there were three featured articles in the same category ("about") displayed side by side—in three columns. Each had a "read more". Today I edited the articles to lengthen the segment of text before the "read more". Immediately the front end started displaying all three articles consecutively in the left-hand column and nothing in the other two columns. I have tried editing Component:Articles:Blog/Featured Layouts and also the menu item "Home": Blog Layout in various ways, but to no avail. I enclose screenshots of these two. I have said o leading articles, 3 intro article, 3 columns, and multi column direction Down. What else can I do? Waht am I missing here? Many thanks for anything you can suggest!

You have probably inserted the Read More Break inside a Block Element. That created broken html because the close tag will be missing.

Make sure the Read More is not inside a div.
