How to load a sample website Topic is solved

Hi,


As I am new to Joomla I would like to know is it poosible to load a sample website.
And if so where would you find these and how would you do this.


If I had a sample website loaded I could see a bit how things are done in Joomla.

There are options to load sample data when you install joomla.

I would recommend to install Joomla locally using something like XAMP as web environment.
After installation of Joomla 4, you'll have an option in the back-end to install sample data.

I usually develop websites locally (on Linux with LAMP stack as web environment). That way I have easy access to the /images folder to add images (faster than uploading). And the template override folder to create small changes in the HTML output.
When the site is ready, I use a 3rd party extension called Akeeba Backup to create a backup. To put the website live I restore that backup at some server.

Even if you did not select to load sample data during the installation, it can be done afterwards:

Go to the Home Dashboard, scroll down and find the module 'Sample Data' with two options.

Push the button 'Install', but before clicking 'OK', please read the warning "Proceeding will install a sample data set into your Joomla website. This process can't be reverted once done."
