Problem with multilingual

Post by LautaroBustos » Wed Mar 08, 2023 5:18 am

Hi,

Thanks in advance for reading my problem.

I have installed the multilingual sampledata and regretted it, I don't want to implement it right now. The problem starts with the fact that the main domain https://mydomain.com of my site doesn't work, and it only works if I enter /es: https://mydomain.com/es or, /en: https://mydomain.com/en at the end.

When I want to enter my domain, it redirects me to https://mydomain.com//, not https://mydomain.com

I have tried deleting the articles, categories and menus of the specific languages and I am not able to solve the problem. I also disabled the plugins and I don't have a solution either.

Somebody could help me?

Thanks!

Welcome to Joomla forum!

Which plugins did you disable?
You only need to disable the "System - Language Filter" if you do not want a multilingual website.

The /en/ and /es/ at the end is intended behavior for a multilingual website.

Did you create a backup before installing the sample data?

Thanks brother!

I was not aware of the existence of this plugin. It was definitely what I was looking for in this post. Thank you so much.

In the Options in the plugin, the Default Language can be removed from the URL without disabling Multi Language.
