Path to Private Key File

Post by sajsaj » Mon Dec 06, 2021 11:47 am

I am installing Joomla 4 for the first time on a server (hosting company).

After inserting the database credentials, the installer is requesting the following information:

- Path to Private Key File
- Verify Server Certificate
- Path to Certificate File
- Path to CA File

When I ignore these fields and try to install joomla, the installation hangs.

Can anyone enlighten me?

If you dont know what these are then you probably dont need them. Just leave "Connection Encryption" as the default which is Server Controlled

OP has already said the install "hangs" when they do that.

@sajsaj
Do you have a misconfigured security certificate?

please read before commenting and if you dont understand then please check before commenting.

With the default setting of server controlled you do NOT get those fields

You only get asked to complete those fields if you select two way authentication. You can not just leave them blank.

I have been using server controlled, but i still get the extra fields coming up.
I have also found out, my hosting company uses MariaDB 10.4.21.

I wonder if this is the problem?
