user specific media manager

Hello,

I wonder if there is a way now in j4 to have the core media manager use a user specific folder for each user.
So the feature can be used in the front end and users only access their own media.

No, I don't know of such functionality in the Joomla 4 code.

You can use a 3rd party extension to accomplish that functionalityu. JCE has an option to create profiles for user groups in which you can limit their access to their own image folder.

In theory it would be possible to create with a filesystem plugin

JCE is not an option for me, I need it through a media field or equivalent.
I rememeber solving this on j3 with overriding/hacking 2 files. I'll have a look at how to do this as a filesystem.
