User registration form

Hey everyone,

i am just fuzzling around with user registration in the frontend.
i created a module for it - that worked wonderfull
i allowed to show "register"
works great. . .
But the form, that is getting displayed, when a user clicks register - is way to overloaded for my needs. where can i add / delete fields of this form?

If you are using core Joomla's registration feature and you do not want to show all the fields that are part of the user profile, Disable the plugin "User - Profile".

If you want to show some fields of the user profile then in the plugin "User - Profile" you could choose value Disable for the the fields you do not want to display

THAT was the secret Tipp... i thought. But not for me unfortunately.

What i am looking for ist how to change the form when you register a new user in frontend. (I am a site visitor and want to create an account - then there is a form. How to customize that?)

If you still want to do this, please elaborate on what you want to customize. Do you want to change the text that the form is showing or you want to collect more information?

Hi there - well actually it asks so many datas from the user - that makes no sense for me
i would only need
name
adress
logo
phone
email
mobile

i think

so where can i setup which fields are asked?

If you are using core Joomla's function for capturing profile information during registration, open the plugin "User - Profile" for Edit. In the screen "Plugins: User - Profile", you would notice that for each of the fields there are three options (namely "Required", "Optional", and "Disabled"). The only exception to this is the field "Select TOS Article" that has only two options ("Required" and "Disabled". You could choose Disabled for the fields that you do not want to appear.

The concept is similar for both the new user registration profile addition and existing user profile modification modification.
