System sent update notification 86 times and link was incorrect

Hi,

The system sent out an email regarding a Joomla update (the system was already updated) 86 times and the email link was to Google? I'm not sure why so many times or why the link was incorrect when it was already up to date?

Here is the link info:

To install the update on XXXX please select the following link. (If the URL is not a link, copy & paste it to your browser).

Update link: http://google.com:443google.com:443/administrator/index.php?option=com_joomlaupdate

This is not the Update Alert sent by the Update Notification Plugin.

Thank to, I understand but I’m not sure why the link is incorrect and received email 86 times. I turned off notifications but would like to know if there is an issue.

The Message from Joomla starts with:

"This message is not from joomla.org, but sent from your own site".

If your host have installation of Joomla in their Cpanel, it may com from there.

Thank you again but I’m trying to find out why this has happened. I understand it’s not generated from Joomla org. Need to know why and how to correct. If anyone can assist.

Since it is not a Joomla event you should contact your hosting provider.
