Mass Mail Users

When I send a mass mail to registered users, users who are blocked (enabled is unchecked) still receive the email message. What other settings need to be made to avoid this? Joomla 4

Other than removing the users altogether? I don't know.

I don't think the "enabled/disabled" was ever intended to be like a subscribe/unsubscribe thing.

If you want to bulk email users with users having an opt-in or opt-out option, I'd be using a newsletter component or something similar which would have the built-in mechanism for subscribe/unsubscribe.

Maybe this would work:

Create a new user group, call it "Non-current users" (or whatever you want),
Move the disabled accounts to that user group, so then you send the email to "Registered" group only, it won't include those in the "non-current users" group.

This shouldn't be necessary. Blocked users should not be receiving mail unless "Send to Blocked Users" option is checked. This might be a bug. I can't reproduce it though.

@csinger can you replicate the problem in Joomla 5?

Suggestion was a workaround but it seems logical if there's a way to not send to blocked users then it should work as expected.
