Activate Joomla 4 users / can't find way to resend self activation mail
Hi, I have a Joomla 4 install and the norma new users signup work if the users get the email and then self activates via the link in the email.
My issue
I can't find a way to resend the self activation email.
I have no option in the admin that I can find.
I also don't see a way for the users to trigger a resend via the frontend, I tried password reset and also just signing in the front end.
my users settings
Allow User Registration: Yes
New User Registration Group: Registered
Send Password: No
New User Account Activation: Self
I thought it should resend activation email if I tried to login without ever clicking on the self activation.

FYI My Joomla version is the current 4.4.10
I did just check a blank new site on same version and it does the same thing.

Re: Activate Joomla 4 users / can't find way to resend self activation mail
I don't think Joomla ever had a way to *resend* the activation link.
Those settings for the self-activation look correct.
Did you confirm your site can send email? Perhaps that's the problem?
Check the email settings (Go to "Server" tab under Global Configuration in the Joomla administrator), check the details, and complete them if not present. Use SMTP with your own email address (e.g. gmail) or set up an email under your hosting account. Use the specified SMTP details provided by your email service provider, or use PHPMail or SendMail. Click the "Send Test Email" button to ensure it sends, and you receive the test message.
If all the above is in place, and the system is still not sending email (or you're not receiving it) this might help: https://extensions.joomla.org/extension/jmail-log/ but it's a paid extension, may not be worth it if you're not going to use it for the long term. It logs the outgoing email from your site, so at least you could see if this is indicating email being sent (recipient getting the email is a secondary matter - perhaps from their end, the email is being filtered by antispam tools). I don't know of any other easy way to access server/system logs to track if your site is actually sending email.

hi I guess I was thinking it could be resent it with out having to get a support person involved. This seems like something that should be there as a function / option.
Anyone know of a plugin that would trigger the email to be resent if a users tries to login without having self approved the email?

If it's a spam registration the email address will be fake. If it is a genuine registration then they will have the email so no need to resend it.

Re: Activate Joomla 4 users / can't find way to resend self activation mail
Thanks for the response but Its not about fake or real registrations. My need is I have some internal websites that even the internal employees can't manage not to mess up the registration process, one test users deleted the email and now they can't get in without a support escalation and this should not need to happen, for my use case im looking for simple no support way to make this happen. Im looking for a way to allow an automated resending of the email. I see that there was a plugin for J3 https://extensions.joomla.org/extension ... e-account/ but it is not active but this is what im looking for. If anyone want to make this for me I'm willing to discuss a fee for this.

@R1NETZ
It is about genuine and fake self registration. What you are asking for is not necessary. If the self registration is genuine they already have the email and don't need another sent out

Why do you have Registration for Internal Eployees? Don't they have Employee Login?
With a Authentication Plugin you can check password against another server/service.
Joomla have a LDAP Plugin
