Joomla Freezes After Enabling Debug Mode, Unable to Access Admin Panel (Gateway Timeout 504)

I enabled Debug Mode and set the maximum error reporting in the Joomla admin panel to identify an issue with the site.

Debug Mode helped detect errors, but about 10 minutes later, I attempted to make changes in the admin panel:

Admin panel pages started freezing, and the page kept loading endlessly.
I logged out of the admin panel and tried to log in again, but the login page hangs.
10 minutes after attempting to log in, the following error appears:
Port 443. Gateway Timeout. The gateway did not receive a timely response from the upstream server or application.

The frontend of the site works, but the contact form also freezes when trying to submit it.
I disabled Debug Mode via FTP. Could this issue be caused by excessive logging, requiring a cache cleanup? If anyone understands what the problem might be, please help.

Following the guide, I uploaded the file fpa-en.php via FTP (to the same location where the "administrator/" folder and configuration.php file are located).

Then, when I tried to access the link:
https://www.your-domain.com/fpa-en.php

I received the following error message:

Access Denied!
Access to the requested object is not possible. Either it cannot be read by the server or it is access-protected.

If you believe this is a server malfunction, please inform the webmaster about it.

Could you please tell me what I should do in this situation? Should I request access from the hosting provider?

A few things I've identified:

Your J4 is 12-months out of date (Feb 2024 as indicated by the FPA). The current release is 4.4.11 (Feb 2025).

Switch to PHP 8.2, the recommended version (see https://manual.joomla.org/docs/next/get ... uirements/)

Joomla! Configured :: Yes | Writable (777)

This setting should be 444 not 777.

LiveSite: Is Not Empty

Try making this "no value" i.e. just the two single quotes with nothing between them, followed by the semi-colon. This setting shouldn't ordinarily be required.

Check all the file permissions - the FPA indicates several as "775" which should be 755.
