504 Gateway timeout with J4 Upgrade

I attempted to do a test upgrade from J3.10.11 to J4.2.5 today.

The result was:

504 - Gateway Timeout
This is a temporary error. Please try again later.

I looked in the joomla_update.php file and it does not show any errors and ends with:
2022-12-05T17:43:53+00:00 INFO 73.153.252.7 update Update to version 4.2.5 is complete.

When I hit refresh, it allowed me to login and says:
Your site has been updated. Your Joomla version is now ‎4.2.5.

That said, I'm a little uncomfortable doing the production upgrade without knowing what may not have happened during the upgrade that could cause later issues.

Any thoughts on what to check next?

The general description of the issue sounds like "performance" for want of a better term. To improve "performance" you could upgrade the hardware, software and network capabilities of your webhost but those are matters of final resort. The issue is more likely to be closer to home and easier to fix than you think: the Forum Post Assistant reporting tool not only helps you to diagnose problems it can also help identify potential performance bottlenecks. It's your choice to use the Forum Post Assistant but, without any understanding of the performance metrics for your website, I wouldn't know where to begin to address your question.

From the general appearance of the FPA report—I can't see a lot that is immediately obviously wrong—the performance issue could be explained as an unexplained random event. However, if I were you, I would uninstall all JCH-related extensions, disable Gzip in the Global Configuration settings and change the Session Handler from Database to FileSystem.

That leads me to ask:

If I am already on 4.2.5 on my test site, can I download and re-run that upgrade again to see if it gets the timeout or do I need to get the system back to 3.x in order to re-run the same process?
