updating to 4.2.7 not possible due to database problems Topic is solved

I would update from 4.2.6 to 4.2.7 but the checking system doesn't allow me to do it, because my database tables structure is not updated. Then i go to system/mantenaince/database and i find that there is nothing wrong there. All the database tables structures are updated and no troubles are to fix. I come back to the update page but still I find the message that the update cannot be done due to that error in the database structure. Curious, isn't it ?

well. Now i have done everything requested. htaccess renamed, Max. Upload Size and Max. POST Size set at 32 MB. I've also set the temporary directory (even though whatever i set its permission i get an advice saying thar the direcory is not writable). Still the problem remains the same. I cannot update to 4.2.7 because of the error I wrote at the start of the topic. Should I perform again the test with FPA?

you're right about the version. I was sure it was 4.2.6 but i am running a 4.2.4. Strange thing because I use Akeeba backup each time a new version come ready. Perharps last time something could have been wrong even though i got
a successful message but i cannot tell it now. After all is it really important? The fact is that i cannot update to the latest version and probably i wont later. the idea to downgrade makes me scared...

the package that comes with any new version. I am a joomla user since the first 1.xx version. you better say me what you mean? If you're thinking of a bad install why then i've got this problem just now and not before ? But, overall, can you help me?

Different people have their own definition of 'default installer'. Very often they mean the installer their Host provides. Others define 'default installer' as the installer that comes with a 3rd party Template. If you mean the Joomla full package that is the first time I have noticed as refereed to as 'default installer'. Reason for the question is that with Host/3rd party Template installs can cause database problems further down the line.

Sometimes updates don't update correctly but look like they are OK. Have you checked the update logs to see if something went wrong but unnoticed with an update
