Errors!

Post by urbankaos » Wed May 31, 2023 11:25 am

My website is on Joommla 3.10, I want to migrate to 4 (4.3.2 like my other website).... but I keep getting errors.

First of all, i've changed the error reporting to maximum, i've changed Joomla Update to 'Joomla Next'.

When I go onto Joomla Update and Pre-Update Check it just shows Nicepage and OS Gallery in extensions which i've disabled... and then when I go onto Live Update and Install the Update, I get:
ERROR:
Could not open archive part file /hermes/bosnaweb28a/b119/ ipg.jodiewa/xxmywebsitexx/tmp/Joomla_4.3.2-Stable-Update_Package.zip for reading. Check that the file exists, is readable by the web server and is not in a directory made out of reach by chroot, open_basedir restrictions or any other restriction put in place by your host.
I click ok and then nothing, but then if I go onto Upload & Update, and then find the file on my computer, 'write files directly', it will load for a bit, I log in... Install... and I get:
ERROR:
Could not open archive part file hermes/bosnaweb28a/b119/ ipg.jodiewa/xxmywebsitexx/tmp/juAcWr66 for reading.
Check that the file exists, is readable by the web server and is not in a directory made out of reach by chroot, open_basedir restrictions or any other restriction put in place by your host.
What am I missing exactly?

This doesn't address your problem directly but I suggest that you uninstall those two disabled extensions.
