When you have restored your backup you need to make sure you restore it to an empty folder and empty database. Then you need to make sure all non compatible 3rd party extensions are uninstalled (that includes non compatible 3rd party templates).

I'm able to revert the site froma backup (the host tells me to delete the app (site ) and then revert from backup, so that it is clean)
funny thing ,
I found that the adsmanger is no longer supported.I was able to uninstall al adsmanger components except one, the first , the administrator component
Another product,
jumi administrator componen
and
site module, I also have trouble uninstalling?
There is also
System- jumi
and
system - Jumi Router ?

So long as they restore the database that belongs to the files. Otherwise you could have a mismatch of files/database

Is it enough to disable the non compatible extension?
My host support directed me to database mangement, but I am afraid to use the phpmyadmin tool

If you use Akeeba to transfer your site to localhost you could try updates with different extensions disabled without fear.

You can look for and set 3rd party extensions to inactive in the database. Or recover with your backup (so much easier if you used Akeeba even if you don't use it to transfer to localhost)
