hello, after the update from 4.4.8 to 4.4.9 this error appears in the frontend on my website:

1242 Subquery returns more than 1 row

the error is mainly displayed in connection with profile views or in connection with login and registration.

does anyone have same issues or can you help me narrow down the problem?

It's coming from EasySocial. Joomla update may have caused the issue but you need to ask EasySocial devs what exactly got broken.

Hello,

This seems to be related to the EasySocial toolbar module. I disabled some of the options on the application specific tabs and this solved the issue, so does unpublishing the module. I haven't determined the root cause but this should get your site running again at least

Hi Jordan, Thanks for your tip.

Go to Site Modules and find (Stackideas Toolbar) Module. Click to open, Click the EasySocial tab, and scroll down to Display Search - Set this to NO and this will fix th 1242 error until Stackideas renders a fix.

I have exactly same issue after updating to latest version of Joomla.

However, setting the search to No doesn't fix it for me.

Hi,

I have just let StackIdeas know. It turned out to be an issue with the finder_taxonomy table for some reason it added duplicates during the Joomla upgrade to latest version.

After deleting these duplicate records, easysocial started working again.

I hope this helps others with the same problem.

Hi again. This problem is recurring. Woke up today to same issue. Something is running in the background that is adding the duplicate records to the taxonomy table which then causes easysocial to break. This has only started since upgrade of Joomla.

Any ideas as to how to stop this?

Just to say, I have added asteriks to the language column now to see if that stops this. See how it goes

Should this be flagged to the Joomla development team as it seems to be an issue triggered by the update and is related to the finder plugin?

This broke my site also because my support has run out I have to pay for a new licence.
They have not updated in nearly a year and easysocial has been a nightmare of bugs, i still have so many and come across new bugs every so often.

If anyone can help me out please let me know t, i had to revert back luckily i paid for akeeba backup thanks.
