Hello friends.

I have put off updating my Joomla v3 a lot and now I have had a problem in the 90.5% percentage of the status bar, and I am getting errors.
I have been able to solve one related to a plugin but I keep getting several more like the ones I indicate below. What solution would you propose?

I have also released the FPA in case it is of interest to upload it here.

The upgrade didn't complete successfully. Restore your back up and ask your host to remove.
Open Base: /var/www/borecom.com/:/tmp/:/hosting/www/borecom.com/ this is redundant on modern servers.
When you restore you must empty the joomla folder of files (they are corrupted) and empty the database as the structure has been altered by the failed upgrade.

I have returned to the starting point and I have restored the bakckup with akeeba (having previously deleted the DB and directory) and now the backend and frontend work but there are many places that I cannot enter, such as:

But I don't understand very well what you're telling me. If my hosting provider hasn't changed anything, why would I have to consult with them? (Sorry for perhaps not knowing very well the reason for this)

There may also be issues with 3.10 and PHP 8.2 (especially with extensions that won't run on PHP 8.2).
While 4.x recommended PHP is 8.2, the recommended PHP for 3.10 is 8.0. Perhaps you can drop the PHP version in the interim through your web host while you complete the migration.

One example is Akeeba Backup. Your version is currently for Joomla 3.10, and Akeeba v8.3.3. According to Akeeba's compatibility table, it won't run on PHP 8.2 (nor on Joomla 4). https://www.akeeba.com/compatibility.html. Akeea has specific documentation concerning the 3.10 > 4.x migration. The table states Akeeba 8.3.3 runs best on PHP 8.0/8.1.

Another example might be SP Page Builder; you would need a version that works in 3.10 and 4.x to do the smooth migration or otherwise, disable it (not uninstall), and then update it to a 4.x version once the migration is done. Refer to Joomshaper for help if needed.

It may even be better if you try the migration offline. Using WAMPServer on your own PC is a good choice as you can set up a local host server and test the migration there. You can install multiple modules for PHP versions so you can pick and choose what you want to test a variety of server configs. You're not risking the live site. Then you can move/copy the migrated site from local to the live server, e.g. with Akeeba Backup/Kickstart and restore to the live server and it should be a running copy from the start. 1. The your version of SP Page Builder Module (that calls "JFormFieldPredefinedList") is not compatible with Joomla 4. Update that extension or uninstall it.

2. You need a minimum of Max. Upload Size = 64M, Max. POST Size = 128M and Memory Limit = 512M to run Joomla 4.

3. You have an "open base" directive in effect. Contact your webhosting company to remove it.

4. You have other extensions (e.g. JComments 3.0.7, Akeeba Backup 8.3.3) that are not compatible with Joomla 4. Remove them or substitute with something else.

5. Your database table _workflow_associations does not exist (probably because of a failure during the migration from J 3 to J 4). This table (and other tables that may be missing) is required in Joomla 4.

Hello,
My website is hosted by OVH.
My version is Joomla 3.10.10.
I need to migrate first to 3.10.12. then from 3.10.12 to J 4.
This is not possible. I get the error message below.
I deduce that I can't migrate under OVH, and that I must use FTP file transfer.

Sorry for the delay. After many tests and pulling backups, I was able to update to v4 and v5.

Now I am having problems updating from 5.0.3 to 5.1.0 (Error: 0 Cannot instantiate abstract class Joomla\Module\Login\Administrator\Helper\LoginHelper
)... but if I see that I am not clear, I will open another thread, this one can be closed.
