Custom administration URL [Joomla! 4.x]

Post by sioinfo » Thu Oct 21, 2021 1:21 pm

Hi!

I still cant figure out how should I mask my domain.com/administration to domain.com/administration/w9NMe253UacLd7r6

In 3.9 I used AdminExile. It doesnt work on J4.

Is it possible doing it with Akeeba Admin tools?

Thanks in advance, Ferenc

Yes, Admin Tools (Akeeba) has that particular option.

I recall just very recently another discussion about AdminExile and someone had made it J4 compatible.

The answer is qualified: Admin Tools PRO version has this feature; the (free-of-charge) basic/core version does not have this feature: see viewtopic.php?f=813&t=988509 which qualifies the distinction.

See viewtopic.php?f=814&t=987901 but also see viewtopic.php?f=814&t=988162.

This topic has been marked as solved and so further discussion is probably for academic interest only.
