Hacked

I’ve been having trouble with my website not working for a couple of months. I’m not in touch with the person who designed it and I’ve been contacting Crazy Domains who host my emails. They sent me this message but I don’t know how to fix the problem. I can login to my website as an admin but don’t know what to do next. Can anyone help me please?

What exactly did the email say?

Is this website the same or different from the website you created the topic Website syntax error, unexpected '<' in index.php in the forum General Questions/New to Joomla! 3.x?
