How to install com_search pkg in joomla 4 Topic is solved

Hi,

Because I have a custom plugin search, I need to to use/re-install the older search module (com_search).

But it's on a fresh J!4 install and I cant "manualy" install this component

I tried to copy everything related to search (com/module/plg) from a J!3 migrated to J!4 (where this old search pkg has been maintain) but with no success... I even created/linked the entry in #__extensions table

Is there way to simply install this package as a standalone component ? Or to activate it in a fresh J!4 ?

Ok finally I got it )

I did install this : https://github.com/joomla-extensions/se ... /4.0.1-dev

I had to create the table ####_core_log_searches with the two columns.

Has I said before I did copy all the search folder related from an upgraded J!3 to J!4 website. The plugin, module, component and the same in administrator folder.

I also added the fof30 folder from library (I dont know if it help or not).

Then I discovered/activated all the new plugin/component.

I also missed a file in administrator/component/com_search/access.xml after the pkg install... so I copied mine from the upgraded website...

That all, hope it help as I was a bit alone with this problem
