Re: Disable LOCKED Extensions
Not sure I understand the question, sorry.
Are you talking about notifications generated by the Joomla! Update component or are you talking about something else?

Yes. I know, that too in untouchable. BUT, this is about "Extensions" but I asked about "Disable LOCKED Extensions". The lock is grayed out.

Re: Disable Locked Extensions
I'm sure I've seen other discussions related, generally, to locked/greyed-out extensions but I can't recall where I've seen these things. Could you possibly post a screenshot that illustrates the problem and then, maybe, I can search the forum for where this issue (or these issues) were mentioned. It shouldn't take too long.
UPDATED
Here's one topic: viewtopic.php?t=988867. Is this related to your question?\
UPDATED #2
AFAIK, some extensions are "greyed-out" and "protected" because they are part of the J! core CMS and J! will not operate unless the extension(s) are enabled. So, I'm still unclear about the original question and how it relates to "update notifications".

Re: Disable Locked Extensions
[EDIT]: others managed to get in ahead of me with their responses, however my 2c below:
Are you referring to the system notification - joomla update notification?
I have no trouble disabling this plugin, just clicking the green tick. It changes to the grey X in the circle indicating disabled.
If you mean the "padlocked" extensions such as Joomla Update, then no you can't uninstall those, they are part of the core system.

We have our own schedule, and really don't need, or want so much email. Managing theses demands from 64 domains is getting tiresome. I KNOW why, but not everyone needs their hand held.Your site has discovered that there is an updated version of Joomla! available for download.
Joomla! version currently installed: 4.2.6
Joomla! version available for installation: 4.2.7
