TinyMCE Mediabod Popup (Litebox)

Hi !
I guess it's unpopular, I don't like the JCE text editor because the new TinyMC seems to me to be of much better quality, but I'm forced to use JCE because I need to be able to add pictures to hyperlinks that open in a Popup window. Accordingly, the question is, what are the possibilities of using TinyMC, but it also has such a function?

P.S. I am surprised that after all these years such a function does not really exist.

TinyMCE is not developed by the Joomla team, it is a third party extension and used by many different web applications. Its features would be dictated by its own developers.

It appears you can "select an image" (see https://www.tiny.cloud/docs/demo/local-upload/) but would agree, it doesn't seem to have the selection of images from, for example, Joomla's media gallery. Such a function I would assume would need to be added by way of a Plugin. I'd assume though you can create a hyperlink with an image; select the image (already inserted in the article), then use the insert hyperlink toolbar button (?).

Note that JCE is a fork of TinyMCE with the enhanced features you have mentioned in your post.

@AMurray you haven't understood the need. It is not about the picture link, but about the window in which it is displayed.
