Joomla 3 to 4 Joomgallery 4 migration

Post by sylwekb » Mon Jan 13, 2025 1:21 pm

Hallo
I migrated Joomgallery to version 4 from Joomla 3 to 4. The photos appear correctly. When registering, I have this strange option. Can it be turned off? If so, where?

Usergroup COM_USERS_OPTIONAL

I'd ask the makers of JoomGallery....but it looks like that option sets the access permissions, why would you want to remove it?

I don't' know what the "remove" button is all about, and the language string is missing the actual text but to me it seems like the standard permissions (access group) drop down.

[edit]: sorry I thought that was something from Joom Gallery but is it the option in the Registration form where you can choose the usergroup you want to belong to? I think that should be an option in the Registration form configuration options. If it's something you have just noticed on upgrading JoomGallery or Joomla itself, perhaps that field is added to the Registration by way of a plugin. Look for one called "user group" (or similar) in the Plugin manager.
