J2store: how to remove old installation?

Post by Theotherone » Fri Nov 10, 2023 5:49 pm

I have a site on joomla 4.40 updated from j3.x with an old not used j2store for j3 installed.
J2store throws an error that I have to update to joomla 3.99 to remove j2store.

Updating j2store fails with error 500 because of there had to started a migration tool before updating, which does not run on j4.

So, how can I remove j2store now?

Restore the backup that you made before the upgrade. Then use the tool and do the upgrade again. Wamp on your PC is a great testing ground.

Joomla update is too long ago, so backup isn't possible anymore.

Then make a backup and manually search for folders and then check the database. You might be able to remove it that way.
