JoomShopping free attribute type upload - not allowing word/excel

Post by Sam908Ltd » Mon Mar 04, 2024 4:09 pm

Hello all,

We have noticed that when customers are using the free attriubute type upload to products, for example here https://www.gardenlabelling.co.uk/shop/ ... lant-label

For some reason, customers are only able to upload jpegs, png, pdfs etc but when they upload excel spreadsheets or word documents, the document is nowhere to be found on the server nor in the orders in the backend, it also nowhere to be seen in the cart?!

Customers have always been able to uplaod word documents and excel spreadhseets so if anyone could explain how we can fix this issue, that would be excellent

Sam

Welcome to the Joomla forum!

This topic was originally posted to the subforum "Migrating and upgrading to Joomla! 4.x". The topic was moved because the shopping section of the website uses JoomShopping, a third party extension.

Has anything else other than Joomla been updated? Is the web server the same as before or is the website hosted in a different server after Joomla was updated to Joomla 4?

Contact the support team of your host and find out if the server blocks the MIME types for Excel and Word.

You could also ask the developer of JoomShopping for assistance.
