Bootstrap X Extension with Bootstrap 5 Theme?

Very new to this, I am using the Helix framework and their builder, which Bootstrap 5, can I only use 3rd Party extension which use bootstrap 5 or can I use something which uses previous version - 4

I believe current Joomla 4 Core uses Bootstrap 5.....shouldn't be any issue with using Helix Ultimate or SP Page Builder etc.

Using Helix myself with Joomla 4 with no issues.

I don't know about other extensions - they may not even use Bootstrap but an alternative CSS framework similar to but not the same as Bootstrap.

My bad, probably wrong forum and I should have given an specific example of extension. Was looking at one which said Bootstrap X (not 5) so prompted question.

Don't have access to my list of possible extension so can't find it just now but didn't think there was problem with Helix but more using an extension with a theme/framework which uses a different Bootstrap version

never heard of "Bootstrap X". v5 is the latest that joomla uses.

Again, my bad not being clear, really must do better. [sigh] I have seen extensions mention bootstrap 2, bootstrap 3 , bootstrap 4 and lastly bootstrap 5, was just being lazy
To my defence, not really, but have spent past 2 years working in Discord exclusively and am a bit rusty. I think a Discord server would do well on Discord though it is a bit more fast paced... sorry, just pondering
