Gantry sections css problem

Hi,
On a J4 site, the customer asked for many modifications on the IT Paradise Gantry template. So, I' ve modified the respective YAML file, adding new sections. I've also created modules positions and put Gantry 5 particles.
I face a problem with the styling: I added custom css rule for main2 section #g-main2 {background: white;}, recompiled styles many times but it is not working. I tried many different combinations, but still the same problem.
The strange thing is that I've added css rule for other new sections, but eventhough the white background is displaed there are some "voids" as you can see in the images attached.

What css rule should I use to correct the problem?
