Why in the source code the "meta description" tag is displayed before the "Title" .

I have seen this for quite some time on all the sites I have created with Joomla.

Apparently the order of elements in the head of the HTML document is not important and just a personal preference, see https://adamhollett.com/posts/2016/07/b ... head-tags/

In another discussion at https://www.quora.com/Does-the-order-of ... ags-matter it is said that the meta tag

should be within the first 1024 bytes.

However, I have not found that info in the W3C HTML5 specifications yet:

Thank you pe7er for your answer, it is true that out of habit since the beginning of the creation of websites, it has always been good practice to put:

<title></title>

<meta name="description" content="">

As a matter of principle and in the doubt that it is not good to put description before, it might be wise to keep the order tilte > description...

If we could have the opinion of several experts :-) that would be cool.
