My site down because google bot overload my server

HI

My site down for 5 mins because google bot overloaded my server. is there any way to prevent that? I am running online store selling things.

using jsitemap, JCH page cache enabled.

You may want to read Google's documentation on this topic:

But note if you are on shared hosting could also be limits in place by your Web Hosting company as to how fast their servers are or how many entry processes are allowed per domain. So keep that in mind aswell.

You can use Cloudflare as reverse proxy.
