Blog & categories: not showing /blog/article-sample.html for categoried articles?

Not sure if this makes sense or not.

I wish to have *all* articles with the base to be /blog/category/article.html

Instead when I get now is when I click on a category it shows hostname.com/category/article.html

However

When I click on the blog link it shows /blog/article.html

How do I get all articles to have base /blog/categories/article.html?

It will following your Menu structure. The Menu Item 'category" must have 'Blog' as Parent.

What happens if the blog menu item is set to "hidden"? it is set to this in my site..

If you want to go "crazy" with it, you can always create a "virtual" nested structure with menu Item Type: Separator (it is in System Links). Separators are not links but do create a URL result as you want it. This is not a hack at all, it's legit practice.
