Add files to an article.

Post by Windwood » Sun May 19, 2024 3:22 pm

Is there a way to add files from media folder to an article? Preference would be to batch load from a folder in media. To me this seems like it should be a no brainer but I may be missing something. TIA

Use Phoca Download with its Content Plugin

Will not generate categories. So, cannot make a parent category.

In your article you can select the CMS Content / Media links. Insert Files has a bug at the moment but you can use the item menu (...) to get a link. Then you can use the link tool to insert that link in an article.

There is no batch facility that I know of but if you wan to use the same list in many articles you could consider using a content template, described in the current Joomla Community Magazine: https://magazine.joomla.org/all-issues/ ... lready-had

This is an issue that needs to be fixed.

In Joomla4, using the TinyMCE editor you could choose and add a document for download utilizing the Media under CMS Content dropdown.

Everything seems to be working up until you hit the "Insert Media" and nothing happens.

Noticed the following error on the page (not sure if that's the cause)...

Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'getSelection')
at insertAsOther (joomla-media-select.min.js?a034d4:27:48)
at execTransform (joomla-media-select.min.js?a034d4:27:922)
at joomla-media-select.min.js?a034d4:27:1693
