0 Invalid field: Start Publishing

Post by cspgsl » Wed Jun 19, 2024 3:55 pm

I have changed permissions for an Editor to access the Weblinks component but when the user logs in and creates the weblink, he gets the error 0 Invalid field: Start Publishing when he tries to save the entry.
The user permission for Weblinks is set to allow everything except Configure ACL & Options
Is this a permission issue?
Thanks

It seems no matter what permissions I grant the user, I get the error, but the Super Admin does not have this problem

If it is front end edit try allow the user group admin login (you will need to select that user group in the Users >>> view/access >>>'Special' )

If no Avail
You said "The user permission for Weblinks is set to allow everything except Configure ACL & Options"
Allow both (temporarily) and test front and admin

The user is logging into the backend to use the component. I have also him enabled on two other components without issue.

So the problem is specific to the site?

It's the only site the user accesses

Unsure of what your question is.
The user logs into the admin side of this (his) site (domain.com/administrator). He does not log into the site from the front end to manage weblinks component, or any other component that his level of user has access to. He is allowed access to two other compontents in the backend in order to manage the site content he is responsible for. I do not enable access to other components as he does not have the need to do so.

There is no other website that he logs into and therefore that problem doesn't exists on any other website.
I have not created a website that has similar ACL requirments for a specific user, so I cannot test it elsewhere.

Simple
In one post you say the user is in other sites but in another post you say the user is only in one site.

I indicated that the user is enabled on two other components, not other sites. The two other components are in the site that the user accesses.
