no captcha plugin Topic is solved

I can't find the captcha plugin. It is not there. Where can I find it in Joomla 5, not in the plugins.

There are no Captcha plugins in J5. You have to download one from JED https://extensions.joomla.org/tags/captcha.

If you're after a recommendation, I personally use HCaptcha, which is the most similar to Google Recaptcha in terms of the "I'm not a robot" challenge plus it presents other challenges at random like the "click all pictures containing [such and such] an object". It also may have the silent/invisible mode as well (I can't recall).

Does anyone know if there is a correlation between "no" google captcha and "no" lighthouse performance for Joomla?

What was the logic behind the decision to drop Recaptcha? THE most widely used captcha on the planet.....

If you are using Google reCAPTCHA in J4, you should replace it with Invisible reCAPTCHA prior to upgrading to Joomla 5 (or a third-party solution). J5 will not include Google Recaptcha any longer. The Recaptcha plugin will be uninstalled upon upgrade to J5. The Invisible reCAPTCHA plugin still exists if you’ve upgraded from 4.4.x. You can enable it and set it up with new keys so you can use Invisible reCAPTCHA instead. Or you may use another third-party solution. Fresh installations of Joomla 5.x do not include any reCAPTCHA plugins in the core. Fresh installations of Joomla 5.x will need to use a third-party plugin/solution.

That doesn't explain "the logic behind its removal".....which I too would like to know - why is it removed in a fresh install of J5 but continues to work with a migration 4.4.x to 5.x.

It is invisible.

There must have been a good reason for removing it. Would also be keen to find out.
