your help "unable to detect Manifest File"

Hi I recently updated our website to joomla 5 and then tried to update Akeeba backup to 9.9.7 and got the unable to detect the manifest file.I have since tried to install other modules and always get the same fault.
can you tell me how to fix please.

Agreed. Download the v9.9.9 version from the Akeeba website and manually install to upgrade.

Usually found in your php options on your server cpanel, most hosts who use it dont allow you to change it so you may have to contact your host.

Save your jpa files because installing Akeeba will wipe the ones on the server (methinks only if your jpa files are in the default folder)

Don’t know if you’re right or not, but I can confirm that mine were still there in their non-default location.
