Login/Register Spam Topic is solved

Hello,

All of a sudden over the last few days I have received about 40 login/register events on my site per day. They use 'genuine' email addresses but a load of letters for registration information (XcbuKFEHYQklp). How can I prevent this? I am up to date on Joomla 5 (5.2.1).

Add a Captcha to your registration form, and I think you can block certain domains from being used for email addresses e.g. gmail, hotmail, yahoo (and others).

Thanks for your answer. I did have a Captcha but it did not work so I downloaded another one and so far, it seems to be working.

I looked into blocking domains but the spammers use real email addresses which include gmail etc, so I could potentially block genuine registrants.

I installed qlcaptcha and it definitely works. I've not received any more spam on registration
