Issue with Customer Registration

Post by Sam908Ltd » Thu Jan 23, 2025 10:42 am

Hello

We are experiencing an issue where customers are unable to register to our website...
Please see this page:
https://www.908ltd.co.uk/my-account/login

When you fill in all of the details under 'New Customer Registration' and you select 'Register' the page just loads to an identical registration form and it just gets stuck there, you are unable to get passed it... Please test this out to see what I mean as it is hard to explain without seeing it yourself. We think this may be a new issue but we are unsure what has caused it.

Thanks for you help in advance.

jchoptimize might be causing the problem. Disable it and clear Joomla cache. If no avail then https://forumpostassistant.github.io/docs/ please

As far as I know, that's not the default (core) registration form (which basically has Name, username, email password/password2 fields. What did you use to build the form with all the extra fields? There are form-builder extensions that can link-in with the registration processing of Joomla's user management system. Did you use one of those, or are you using custom fields?

I don't recall JOomla having a module for Registration form (it has one for the Login form).

You're using SPPB and Helix Ultimate, so I assume you have made your page a two-column, and inserted the modules?

Can you test this with the default template (Cassiopeia)? Test with a default, plain Registration component menu item. make sure in Global config that User Registration is permitted.

I can see the behaviour, on clicking register with the completed form it loads a new page with the Registration-only form.
