Module Admin Styling

Post by brendanhedges » Mon Feb 17, 2025 10:43 pm

Hi,

Can anyone please point me in the right direction to a tutorial, or examples.

I have a module I'm working on that has lots of media fields set in the modules xml file. by default joomla just stacks these, each on it's own row. I'd like to place 2 side by side. I can do this with css grid, but I was wondering if there is a way programmatically. I tried nesting fieldsets, each with 2 fields, but when rendered Joomla seems to strip that out and just put each field in its own control group, rather than stacked fieldsets each with 2 control groups.

Weirdly, if I add groupByFieldset="true" as an argument in the subform field in the main xml file the fields are rendered twice in the modules admin settings.
