joomla native pdf embed

in joomla 5.1 the native joomla embed pdf plugin seems to no longer work.
If you embed the following code in an article:

<object data="images/your_pdf_exemple.pdf" type="application/pdf" width="800" height="500">

this string is ignored and does not appear after saving.
Apart from the fact that Joomla's native embed pdf has never worked with iPad because the scroll bars don't appear,
does anyone know of a joomla change that abolished the native pdf embed?

I correct myself.
Native pdf embed doesn't work if you try to insert code with TinyMCE editor, as reported in a previous GarageDrake thread "Problem inserting PDF (not embedding) since 5.1"
By directly inserting the code with CodeMirror the PDF is displayed.
I opened this post because I would have liked to do some experimenting with CSS to make scrollbars appear on the iPad.
I will report any results

I have very similar problems.

Starting with a completely blank page I select "CMS Content" -> Media. I then select a pdf file.

If I leave the "Additional Data" at "Download" there is no reaction when I press the green "Insert Media" button.

If I instead select "Embed" and press "Insert Media" I get an error in the editor saying "This page has been blocked by Chrome"

This is supposedly a new security feature with Tinymce.
