Tags positioning in J4

Post by krassimir71 » Fri Nov 29, 2024 10:30 am

Hello,
I currently develop a Joomla 4.4.3 site. I managed to move the Tag position bellow in the article Categories but in I wonder where/which file is the article belonging to category.
for example
https://eco-k-consult.eu/site/index.php ... D0%B0.html

The tag is above the page content but it (only tags) should be at the end of the article/page.
I will be happy and I do ask for your help on that.. I think admins of J may think on this - positioning ONLY of the tags not the page route/blong.
Have a nice day!
Greetings
KK

You can set the position of tags with the option Position of Article Info.

Or you have to create an override.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I tried it but it moves both the category path to the article and the tags that is not desired. Only tags should go at the bottom page.

Then you need to create overrides.

https://magazine.joomla.org/all-issues/ ... management
https://docs.joomla.org/J4.x:Improved_O ... Management

Or if you like to move files manually move files from i.e. component/com_content/tmpl/... to templates/yourtemplate/html/com_content/...

Edit/move/delete the tag sections.

For full articles com_content/tmpl/articles/default.php
Tags are on lines 80-84 and 110-113.

For intro articles on category blog com_content/tmpl/category/blog_item.php
Tags are on lines 56-58 and 74-77.

Hi. A simpler way than create an override is the use of JS. Through JS you can cut the desired element from one place and add it to another place.

Pros of js solutions.

You do not need to worry about the support of overrides in the case of Joomla update. This is not destructive editing and only a few lines of simple code which you can always delete without consequences for the site.

Cons of js solutions.

This will not work if JS is turned off in the user browser. But this is extremely rare and with the JS disconnected, the entire site will still break. So the cons is dubious
