Unusual database port

Post by megaliner » Sun Dec 03, 2023 7:36 pm

Hello, I have self hosted webserver with mariadb in container with atypical port 20014. How can I tell joomla install to use database server on localhost with atypical port? Standard method with 127.0.0.1:20014 or localhost:20014 is not functional. I googled and found some github topic with php edit for joomla 3 and 4, which allowed using ip:port metod. But I looking on same files in joomla 5, but code is different.

You don't need to edit any PHP files. host:port format should be working out of the box. Works for me. If it doesn't work for you, you can try reporting the issue on the issue tracker.
