i tried "System ➝ Global Configuration ➝ Site ➝ SEO Settings ➝ Use URL Rewriting ➝ Yes ➝ Save" + .htaccess rename and only got this:

Error 500 Internal Server Error
+error 404 when i renamed it back to .txt ...

so is there a way to fix it and how could i also add year and month into the url?

The path in step #2 should lead to the joomla folder from the domain root. i.e. if thesite .com reaches joomla the path is /

Directives in the htacces working on all folders bellow it unless another htaccess has a different value for those directives.
