Hello. Upgrading my main site from Joomla 3 to Joomla 5 has been a titanic task. It has cost me a lot of work, among other things because the template was not compatible and the current ones were not compatible with all the intro images float positions.
Finally, I managed to update the site. I keep the “www”, the “nº” in the urls of the articles, and the “html” suffix (but I have not redirected the pages without suffix). I don't know whether to leave it like that or try something to improve the urls for SEO. any advice?
As for performance, in the “PageSpeed Insights” test I got a big fail for the mobile view. I only get 35 points out of 100. How can I improve the loading speed and performance?
Thank you.

Hi,
From Google standpoint, they don't care that you are using another CMS, or version of CMS. They only know the addresses of the pages, and their content.
If you change a URL, even by just adding or removing the .html or the id numbers, then the previously existing and indexed page is completely and immediately forgotten, with all the (positive ) ranking signals attached to it.
- you have gigantic CSS and javascript files, not even minified (but even minified, they are still going to be huge)
- you are not using HTTP/2 on your server
- you don't seem to be using compresison on your server
- etc
The one and only important thing about the URLs is that you do not change them at all between your J3 and J5 site. That's it.I keep the “www”, the “nº” in the urls of the articles, and the “html” suffix (but I have not redirected the pages without suffix). I don't know whether to leave it like that or try something to improve the urls for SEO. any advice?

If you analyzed using PageSpeed Insights, you also have seen their suggestions, so you should work from that:How can I improve the loading speed and performance?

Re: I have upgraded my site to j5. Any advice on how to optimize seo and performance?
It is from T4 Framework, I suppose. I do not how I can to reduce this
My server is CentOS Linux release 7.9.2009 - Apache/2.4.6 (CentOS). Can I to install HTTP/2 module? Somewhere I read that this system was old for this module, and updating the operating system is a complicated task at the moment.
I have Gzip compression selected in the Joomla 5 panel. I thought that the compression was already activated. Should I do something else? Maybe at htaccess level?
Thanks.

Hi
Sorry can't help with setting up your server. The most important part is by far the SEO part: making sure your URLs and your content is unchanged (otherwise, your SEO is gone).
I'd suggest talking to Joomlart about the template and your hosting company regarding what needs to be done on the server config?

However google will consider this new content and this just might improve your seo, as long as old urls redirect to something relevant to your site.making sure your URLs and your content is unchanged (otherwise, your SEO is gone).

Maybe but that'ss unlikely as you'll lose past signals on the existing content, which appears to be of importance to gymvag (site is old, I saw post from more than 10 years ago). However google will consider this new content and this just might improve your seo, as long as old urls redirect to something relevant to your site.
Redirects will only help if the content is the same (ie: only the URL has changed) and even that is a gamble as it can take a long time (like months for largish sites such www.relatospulp.com)
And if the content is not the same, then redirects will not help and then it's like you start a new website.
All that said, looking at the site, it's typically the kind of sites that'll be demoted by Google based on "helpful content updates": you have lots of ads, and even "interstitial ads", that's pretty bad to be honest.
