No Captcha in Joomla 5

Hi

I have been using Joomla for years, but I have just created a new website with a Joomla 5 installation (so not an upgrade) and I find that there is no captcha plugin in the core installation.

Since there has always been captcha I am at a loss as to where to download the original plugin for installation.

I have downloaded and installed the Sharkey reCAPTCHA v3 (https://github.com/SharkyKZ/joomla-reca ... n/releases) but it is not working for me.

Please can someone help as this is worrying for my forms.

If you use Community Builder on your site(s), they have a plugin that includes invisible reCAPTCHA and other methods. CB AntiSpam. The CAPTCHA plugin can be selected in your Joomla Global Configuration if you enable the plugin.

I'm using CB AntiSpam because I already use Community Builder on all my sites.

install another captcha plugin. Recaptcha was removed - on purpose - for new installs.
I use hCaptcha, which is the most similar to Google Recaptcha - it has its "click all the pics with bicycles" challenges and similar and with the check-box "I'm not a robot". It has private and public keys like Reacaptcha and works for J5. https://extensions.joomla.org/extension ... /hcaptcha/

Hi Murray,

I installed hCaptcha also. But something bizarre happens. Please take a look at the attached screenshot:
above the hCaptcha, a textbox with "dynamic_recaptcha_1" lingers. Could you educate me how I can remove it?

FYI: I am using Joomla 5.03+Virtuemart 4.2 and PHP is 8.2.

Captcha is incorrectly implemented in VirtueMart. You should report this to VM developers.
