Is it possible to change images folder location?
I'm using joomla as CMS, it has an 'images' folder where all media is uploaded. I'm wondering if there is a way to change it to a different disk or subdomain?

Re: Is it possible to change images folder location?
Because I wish to decouple joomla frontend from backend, so I prefer to have images folder in frontend subdomain and joomla in backend subdomain.

You can do this in Global Configuration by changing the settings in the “Media” component.
There are settings for:

This is controlled by filesystem plugins. Default "Filesystem - Local" plugins does not allow directories outside Joomla's root. You'd need a custom plugin.

Re: Is it possible to change images folder location?
@JAVesey many thanks for your kindly reply but it only works in the same subdomain Joomla is installed, and I have my frontend in another subdomain.
Anyway I solved it by retrieving images directly from Joomla subdomain.
Decoupling frontend from Joomla I got over 90 points in page speed performance punctuation in a page with over 2mb size.
