Issues with styling of custom menu and background image

At the moment, I'm annoyed. This custom menu should be centered while keeping its unique underline, according to my desired design. In order to prevent the letters from touching the underline, the underlining should remain the same length throughout, with the words centered and spaced roughly 4 pixels above it. The menu's white backdrop should, if at all feasible, not obscure the background image.
