upgrading 5.2.2 has failed 500 not available just now - unable to use upload to tmp (not had this before)

5.2.1 had a few dramas - Litespeed was stripping code from RSForms so have removed Litespeed and Forms for now and dealing with RSJoomla whom I have dealt with since the beginning

PHP 8.3 seems very wonky - cannot set php.ini correctly. Expose PHP will not switch to off

I use Cloudlinux on a 9 year old server which is going to be upgraded in next few weeks to a hypervisor system.

Site is the target of high profile SEO outfits and it may be compromised ... centainly blasted with experimental code like /_fragment?_path=_controller%3Dphpinfo%26what%3D-1%26return_value%3Dnull&_hash=lpa0shbMeYUTIi8KuYBc1KXRo3JFQvR6vGkBe2BytjQ%3D

Check if the Joomla temp folder is writable. It is shown as the last item in the list in System - System Information - Folder Permissions.

72M is too low to run Joomla update. Set the directive memory_limit in the php.ini file or get your host to set it to 128M minimum, preferably to 256M. In fact, you may be able to set the limit in the .htaccess file:

This should usually be Yes. If you are editing the php.ini file, set the directive session.save_path to point to the Joomla Temp folder, which is writable.

checked and changed php_value memory_limit 256M was set at 128 but had missed home/domain

included new sessions handler to php.ini (never used this one before)

It seems the memory limit is still too low

268435456 bytes is 268.44M (approx).

So 256M needs to be increased to 512M

The forum is public, you can't private message without invitation from the person you want to contact. There is no "private support" for Joomla, just this forum, run by volunteers on their time.
